Surface water runoff is estimated at 159,281 cum/d on the average. The municipality has a poorly developed drainage system partly due to its location near the catchment divides of 4 river basins and due to the presence of permeable limestone which covers most of the municipal area and enables the infiltration of a large portion of effective rainfall into the underground.
