The municipality of Sagbayan is located inland in the northwestern part of Bohol at approximately longitude 9’54’53” and latitude 124’ 5’ 31”E. It has a total area of 6,919 hectares or about 1.68% of the area of Bohol consisting of 24 barangays. The town is accessible from Tagbilaran City via the coastal route known as the Tagbilaran North Road entering the interior via Bacani or a much shorter route via the interior municipality of Catigbian.
