Most of the municipality is characterized by undulating to rolling terrain with elevations ranging from 190-300 m above mean sea level (amsl). The west to southwest part of the municipality is characterized by nearly level to undulating terrain with 0-8% slope. The southern and eastern part near Batuan and Carmen is moderately steep terrain with elevations ranging from 200-300 meters above mean sea level. The landscape is characterized by isolated conical hills similar to the limestone “chocolate” hills and contiguous hills found in the neighboring municipality of Carmen.
